Now, your wonderful Ambassador butterflies have climbed up 1,000 meters higher! We are being welcomed by all the school communities of “El Rosario” Ejido and Sanctuary where there is a extremely high population of students.
“Rincón de San Luis” neighborhood is indeed the village where nature is the most pristine and where a beautiful stream is joining the main river running along the entire El Rosario Ejido.
Water is brought to our homes through a basic hose network along ditches and rivers and collected mostly in beton or plastic collectors at home, but often we shall see a tree-trunk shaped as water container which was the most common way to store it until a few decades ago.
“We can see less ajolotes nowadays, but they are still all around.”
“Oh, we did not know that some related species that begin their life in the water, come onto the land, continue their life so and develop lungs and are called salamanders!”
“We did not know that chemicals in so many of our cleaning and electronic products can contain poisonous components!”

Ahora, sus maravillosas mariposas Embajadoras han viajado mil metros montaña-arriba!. Toda la comunidad de escuelas de el Ejido y Santuario de “El Rosario” donde hay una gran población, nos dan la bienvenida!.
La colonia “Rincón de San Luis” es sin duda la comunidad ó ranchería donde la naturaleza aún luce intactay su hermoso río se junta con el río principal que corre a lo largo de todo el ejido El Rosario”.
El agua se trae a nuestras casas a través de una simple red de mangeras que corren por nuestras zanjas y ríos, y es recolectada mayormente en recolectores de cemento y plástico en casa, pero también podemos ver aún un tronco de árbol convertido en un recolector de agua, que era la forma más común de almacenarla hace tan sólo unapocas décadas.
“Podemos ver menos ajolotes hoy en día, pero aún los tenemos cerca”.
“Oh, no sabíamos que algunas especies que comienzan su vida en agua, desarrollan pulmones y continúan su vida en tierra llamándose salamandrás!.”
“No sabíamos que los químicos en muchos de nuestros productos de limpieza pueden contener sustancias venenosas!
