An average of twenty schools throughout El Rosario Sanctuary receive your awesome Ambassadors! Remember, the students at all of these schools will be the future heirs and guardians of the unique Oyamel fir forests, where up to 50% of the migrant population of Monarch butterflies overwinters.

El Rosario Middle School, with over 200 students, assigned a representative group of 40 students to receive your Ambassador Books on pollinators. Delivering more today would leave many other schools waiting for their arrival.

Pollinators have been surprising our students about how we depend on them, awakening an appreciation for our native plants. Understanding the praise and respect that our great-grandparents and grandparents had for them has now reminded us “how great a protective, beneficial and decorative treasure we have.”

Here are just a few of their expressions in their letters on Pollinators coming to you this spring:

“I now realize how the tiniest little plant and flower and its pollinators outside can make the big difference between conserving the unique place we live in and other places Monarchs have simply never gone to in the winter.”

“This has been one of the best classes I have ever attended. Nothing is as vital as nature.”

“A while ago, I proposed to one of my teachers to design an area for pollinators in our school yard. I think he did not take me too seriously. Our field guide and books today will be argument enough to do it.”

“Many teachers speak so little of our cultural roots. A few of them let us know how special we are because of the place we live in. This class has made us feel important and unique. Thank you for your respect and passion. We will be sure to apply all we have learned today. They say that a word or an action hurts more than a physical wound. People who harm nature have no idea what they are doing.”

“Dear friend, I might never meet you, but I wish you could someday come and see how special it is to live in a place where millions of Monarchs roost in giant trees. And to see the many people who come from around the world, looking so different and speaking different languages, as they remain totally silent, not able to speak a single word, that can describe this amazing phenomenon.”

¡Un promedio de veinte escuelas alrededor de el Santuario El Rosario recibe sus increíbles Embajadoras! Recordemos que los estudiantes de estas escuelas serán los futuros herederos y guardianes de los bosques de Oyamel únicos, donde hibernan hasta el 50% de la población de Monarcas migratorias.

La Secundaria El Rosario, con más de 200 estudiantes, designó a un grupo de 40 estudiantes representantes para recibir sus libros Embajadores sobre polinizadores. Entregar más el día de hoy habría dejado a muchas otras escuelas esperando su llegada.

Los Polinizadores han venido sorprendiendo a nuestros estudiantes por lo mucho que dependemos de ellos, despertando una apreciación por nuestras plantas nativas. Al comprender el profundo respeto que nuestos bisabuelos y abuelos han tenido por ellas, ahora nos recuerda “el tesoro tan grandioso, protectivo y beneficioso y hasta decorativo que tenemos”

Aquí algunas expresiones de sus cartas:

“Ahora me doy cuenta de que la parte y la flor más pequeña y sus polinizadores afuera pueden hacer “la gran diferencia entre conservar el lugar único en el que vivimos y otros lugares a donde las Monarcas simplemente nunca van a pasar el invierno”.

¡“Ésta ha sido una de las mejores clases que he tenido. Nada es tan vital como la naturaleza”!

“Hace una semana, le propuse a mis maestros diseñar una área para polinizadores en el patio de nuestra escuela. Yo creo que él no me tomó realmente en cuenta. Nuestra guía práctica y nuestros libros serán un agradable argumento de campo para todos.”

“Muchos maestros nos hablan muy poco de nuestras raíces culturales. Algunos nos hacen ver lo especiales que somos puesto que vivimos en este lugar. Ésta clase nos ha hecho sentir importantes y únicos. Gracias por su respeto y pasión. Nos aseguraremos de aplicar todo lo que hemos aprendido hoy. Se dice que una palabra ó una accion hiere más que una herida física . Las personas que hacen daño a la naturaleza no tienen idea del daño que causan”

“Querido amigo, es posible que nunca llegue a conocerte, sin embargo, deseo que algún día puedas venir y conocer lo especial que es el lugar donde vivimos donde muchos millones de Monarcas forman sus racimos en árboles gigantes y a ver a tanta gente que viene de diferentes partes del mundo, pareciendo tan diferentes, hablando diferentes lenguas, pero al final, todos se quedan en silencio, sin poder hablar ni una sola palabra, pues es innecesario para poder describir el fenómeno extrordinario”
