The Symbolic Migration opens the new year with our visits to schools around the “Sierra Chincua” Sanctuary, continuing the delivery of your Ambassador butterflies. The surroundings of this Sanctuary are located further north from “Cerro Pelón” and “El Rosario” Sanctuary, as we previously mentioned at closing for Christmas and Winter Break.

Our main topic, “The Importance of Trees,” continues to be widely welcomed by teachers and students:

The Omicron COVID variant has arrived in México, as 60 percent of our population has been already vaccinated. Our sanitary system has announced that children below 15 years old SHALL NOT get vaccinated at this point in time.

Our Education authorities have announced that in spite of the Omicron variant, our schools and students will continue attending classes at their facilities, keeping the most strict sanitization measures.

It is amidst this context that we will simultaneously keep observing the monarch season, reaching its peak at their overwintering spots in our mountains as your Ambassador butterflies continue being delivered. Children and teachers alike welcome your gifts., as our conservation lesson makes them aware of the vital importance of their habitat’s conservation.
