Most of our schools around Monarchs’ Biosphere Reserve are surrounded by considerable extentions of land where gardening activities for our students would be an ideal complement in their education.
“The need of a salary and the growth of manufacturing industries in estrategic regions in our country, nearly emptied our small communities where we fathers and siblings abandoned our agricultural activities in our own homelands to become employees in big cities; we want to come back to our families”.

Nowadays, globalization and technology may somehow be allowing for our own families even in small communities and towns like ours, to see the possibility to make a living from home itself. Auto-sustainability is urging nations to turning back to encourage their agendas on agricultural politics.
México is seriously revising theirs on this aspect and education is being one of the starting points.
Contributing with our teachers on letting our students recognize each element in nature surrounding us, flora, fauna, the names of other trees besides our Oyamel fir wonderful tree, their function and the delicate equilibrium they all keep in our region is essential at their early ages.
Your invaluable participation through the Symbolic Migration, the illusion in our children at their schools waiting every winter that a beautiful ambassador butterfly is traveling from far away in the north with a letter accompanying for them, dear friends and colleagues from Canada and the United States, is contributing in our region, winter-home for Monarch butterflies, to encouraging our teachers and students to observe even more what is surrounding their classrooms and schools outside, inviting them to discover the exceptional natural surrounding, land extentions and great possibilities to change our childhood and youthhood’s concept of living, building and assuring an own future.
