“Ambassadors butterflies are arriving at last! Come help carry them!”

“Give the box to me, give it to me, teacher Estelita, I can carry them!”

“I want to carry the flag from Canada! I will carry the one from the USA! I am holding México’s flag!”

From what places are our Ambassadors coming? From where will we make new friends now?”

“Last year my beautiful Ambassador came from a place where there was lots of snow!”

“Mine showed how real Monarchs come to rest at the edge of huge lakes, waiting for the ideal wind currents to help cross. So smart they are!”

“Mine bore images of how Monarchs breed in the North. No one in my family had any idea how they became butterflies or where they originated. Now I can explain to them about their life cycle (egg, instars, and chrysalis) that occurs in the North and the mission of the Super-Generation that comes to us. My family says they could have never imagined such a miracle!”

“Instructor Estela says all our Ambassadors travel by plane to México! Our friends make us feel very important by making such an effort. Now, while our Ambassadors overwinter in our classrooms, our letters on actions to prevent water pollution to our friends in the North will be packed. They also will travel by plane to reach our friends in Canada and the USA. Wow, can you imagine our letters in boxes boarding a huge plane and traveling such a long way to be delivered to every single class sending an Ambassador to us? Who is doing such huge work?”

“There are so many people loving Monarchs and nature in a way you cannot imagine. They just want to see students across Canada, the USA, and Mexico learn, appreciate, and take action to conserve nature,” Estela responded.

“In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.” Baba Dioum, Senegalese poet and environmentalist, 1937

“There are people loving Monarchs and loving nature in a way you cannot imagine; they just want to see your northern Pals and you learn, get amazed and smile while you learn to love nature” Estela responded.

“AL FINAL, ÚNICAMENTE CONSERVAREMOS AQUELLO QUE AMAMOS, SOLO AMAREMOS AQUELLO QUE COMPRENDAMOS Y SOLO ENTENDEREMOS AQUELLO QUE NOS SEA ENSEÑADO.” BABA DIOUM, POETA SENEGALESA Y AMBIENTALISTA, 1937.
