"Lázaro Cárdenas", Elementary — Symbolic Monarch Migration

SCHOOL VISIT.-

We continue visiting one more school in this large area of Ejido “El Rosario”, where the largest Sanctuary is located bearing the same name of this important Ejido. This school is located within one of the several communities here called “Rincón de San Luis”, at about 4-5 kilometers from the Sanctuary itself. Ambassador Monarchs 113-139 were delivered in tjis school. Children were thrilled at seeing their Ambassador Monarcha arriving to them!. They attended the lesson on pollinators with high interest, concerned about how feeding for the world may get in trouble if pollinators continue to be distrubed. Three mothers attended the presentation too, thanking the Symblic Migration program for bringing these lessons to their children in their community. Mothers and children enjoyed reviewing the different kinds of pollinator hummingbirds, bees, bats, wasps and were not believing that bats are pollinators too!. They showed concern at learning, for example that honey bees’ population in the world are being so terribly distrubed by the use of pesticides!. Mothers and children enjoyed the day and Alvaro, 11 years old, attending 6th. grade, was very proud to introduce his mother, —who attended the lesson on pollinators too—,and who showed her beautiful embroideries she sells at the Sanctuary during the Monarchs’ season!.
