Even though families here live mainly from forest benefits, corn farming, and cattle and back-yard animals raising they enjoy of an a large beautiful forest area which is considered an extremely important buffer areas to the core of Sanctuary Sierra Chincua. At realizing how important Monarch butterflies’ habitat preservation is during the past few years, they now learn Monarchs are also pollinators and learn about the other most important pollinators they have in ther location!. They show off themselves saying the names of the most known wild flowers and saying them loud: “Mirto, Arnica, aretillo, girasol, margaritas, Flor de San Juan, Gordolobo, Tepozán, etc.”… they have indeed learned about the pollination process in general terms through some school lessons, but getting to know, through the Symbolic Migration what the process consists of more in detail, learning that bees, wasps, hummingbirds, bats and butterfies they see everyday, together with their wonderful forests and canopy, rivers, and else flora and fauna guarantee our daily meals and success at their parents agricultural activities, they tell each other “ I had never heard papa and mama or grandpas saying that pollinator insects were so important! that bats are pollinators and that they work at night visiting our Nopales and Magueyes and grain crops everywhere… oh!, that important they are!, that busy they are! day and night pollinating everywhere…!!!. I shall come and tell my family at dinner time!!!”— many said—!..Children got indeed inspired by our talk and promised to really care of pollinators population by caring or our native flowers and canopy in general!. Receiving their Ambassador Monarchs bringing their letters and gifts from so far away, observing the life conditions of their American and Canadian counterparts at observing the decoration of their Ambassador Monarchs made them learn much more about how wonderful nature is!.
